Atif Aslam and ‘Guns and Roses’ join hands

Pakistani Singer Atif Aslam, with his ultra hot voice has got the chance to rock USA along with renowned American hard rock band, ‘Guns and Roses’ on a fusion project.
Atif Aslam said, “This project is going to be milestone in his singing career’ adding that he is so excited to work with band’s former lead guitarist Slash, Gliby Clarke and Chris Martin.
This is a good sign that Pakistani Singers are teaming up with western musicians and I would also like to invite other prominent singers, including classical singers to join hands with him’ said Aslam.

Ali Zafar wants to do more!

The well know Pakistani singer, Ali Zafar is looking forward to work in more Bollywood flicks after tasting the flavor of one Bollywood movie ‘Tere Bin Laden’.
‘Tere Bin Laden’ is creating huge curiosity among the audience even in Pakistan because of its lead actor, Ali, who has caught the attention of other producers and directors.
“There are couple of offers from big banners but they are very initial stages but I have not had the time to look into them. Right now I am too busy with interviews for the promotion of the film, but will probably look into those films after the release of Tere Bin Laden” said the singer turned Actor, Ali Zafar.

Juggan Kazim has started shooting for her film

Fashion model Juggan Kazam, after her return from Canada has started shooting for her film ‘Khamosh Raho’ by director Altaf Hussain.
Khamosh Raho is entirely shot at Canal View, Lahore in which heart-arresting Juggan will be seen with film actor Shaan in the lead role.
According to reports, the shooting of the film will complete in March 2011.

Veena Malik gets ready for marriage

Pakistani film star Veena Malik is prepairing for her wedding due to take place within the next forthnight; the choice of the bride groom is family oriented, with her father playing the major role.
The groom of Veena Malik is American green card holder, the son of her father’s close friend Maj(R) Akbar Khan.

Jawaria Jaleel and Saud don’t have time host TV programs

Pakistani drama actress Jawaria Jaleel and Saud, who have been running their own home productions, don’t have time to host TV shows.
According to reports, they have been offered to host TV shows, but they denied the offers as they are so busy in making TV serials for their home production. Besides, they are also working in other TV serials, which makes them too busy to do other programs.
“Being a host on TV shows requires much effort and time, we don’t think we’ll be able to manage this much.” told Jawaria and Saud to Fashion Central.

Meena Bazaar Monday MASTI Awards 2009

Pakistan Television Network (PTV), always bring the entraining & informative programs to its viewers and consider it a duty, being the national channel. One of such programs telecast on PTV, is the well appreciated “Meena Bazaar with Ayesha Sana”.
Recently, the first anniversary of the program, named Meena Bazaar Monday Masti Awards 2009, was celebrated with its full bloom at PC. The event was tremendously choreographed & produced by Asim Yaar Tawana and arranged by Qasim Yaar Tawana. Qasim Yaar Tawana is a popular name in the Pakistani Fashion and Showbiz industries, for the arrangement of well organized events.
Monday Masti Awards segment was the focal point of the entertaining event. Monday Masti is actually a segment of the program Meena Bazaar, telecast every Monday by Asim Yaar Tawana. Other then awards ceremony, there were other lots of interesting segments of the event, and one prominent was the Fashion exhibition. Two renowned Fashion brands of the Pakistani Fashion industry, ‘HSY’ by Hassan Sheheryar Yasin and ‘Nickie Nina’ by two sisters, showcased their designed philosophies. Many shining models of the country presented the designed work of the Fashion designers; Stylist ‘Babloo’ did the make-over the models.
Besides all of this, some well-liked singers of the country performed and entertain the people with their melodious voices; singers include Shafqat Amanat Ali, Fareeha Pervaiz, Adeel chudari, etc. in fact, Freeha Parvaiz sang a specially prepared song titled ‘Meena Bazaar of Ayesha Sana” and gathered a lot of appreciation.
In this way, the successfully organized event proved as a true entertaining occasion attended by many Fashion & Showbiz celebrities.

Mahnoor Baloch To Do Sizzling Item Number

Making most electrifying come back with Hollywood film “Torn”, Pakistan’s most groomed actress Mahnoor Baloch is currently shooting a Bollywood sort of item number for the upcoming Pakistani film ‘Main Hun Shahid Afridi’.
Mahnoor Baloch will be doing item number on song “Charhti Jawani” in the film “Main Hun Shahid Afridi” and is assumed to challenge all Bollywood item girls. This Pakistani film “Main Hun Shahid Afridi” is based on life of cricket super star Shahid Afridi and is being produced by Humayun Saeed and Shahzad Nasib. The lead cast includes Humayun Saeed, Mahnoor Baloch, Fatimah Afandi and Abid Kashmiri. Osman Ali Raza is the director of the film and will also play the coach in the movie.
The lead role of Shahid Afridi is being played by a 19-year-old boy Noman Habib who is an aspiring cricketer in Pakistan.
We all have crossed over fingers to see crispy thumkas of Mahnoor Baloch in this item song.

Bushra Ansari and Sadia Imam

It turns out that Bushra Ansari and Sadia Imam were into reading books and are readaholics of some sort.
Last week the National Book Foundation appointed Sadia Imam, TV actress of Pakistan and a model in commercials, catwalks and musicals, and Bushra Ansari, television compeer, actress and producer in Pakistan, among some other showbiz people and men of letters, book ambassadors so that the culture of reading could take root in Pakistan.
The brochure that mentioned the two with their pictures also said Sadia Imam is a poet! We know about Bushra Ansari being a writer.
National Book Foundation was established in 1972 as a service rendering educational welfare association. It is a statutory Corporation formed through an Act of the Parliament in order to make books accessible at moderate prices. It has its Head Office in Islamabad and Regional Offices at each provincial Headquarters. In addition it has Branch Offices and bookshops also. National Book Foundation’s management is in the hands of the Board of Governors of Pakistan.

Former Pakistan’s cricketer Wasim Akram will reportedly make his acting debut in Nikhil Advani's next film, Patiala House. The film will also include stars like Akshay Kumar. The film also stars Rishi Kapoor, Dimpla Kapadia and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’s heroine Anushka Sharma. Patiala House is apparently based on cricket and Wasim Akram will play coach to Akshay Kumar’s cricket team.
It will be shot in London and is expected to release next year in Pakistan. The music will be scored by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and lyrics will be written by Sameer. The last movie by Nikhil and Akshay Kumar was Chadni Chowk and it was not much of a hit in Pakistan. Whereas his directed movie Kal Ho Na Ho was a great hit in Pakistan.
Wasim Akram already has had a taste of Bollywood when Wasim Akram judged the dance show Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena with Sushmita Sen.
Pakistan has yet another reason to be proud of Wasim Akram. Wasim Akram has been a great cricketer and one hopes that he will be as good in acting and make Pakistan even more proud.
